NorthWest Credit Union Collectors Association offers two types of scholarships to member credit unions: Educational Scholarships and Conference Scholarships.
Educational Scholarships are awarded for educational programs directly related to collection and/or lending. We budget $1,500 annually for our educational scholarship, which is to assist one or more association members to attend national schools or conferences. Examples would be Eric North Bankruptcy Conference, Rex Johnson’s University of Lending, CUNA Financial Counseling School, CUNA Beginning and Advanced Collections and Bankruptcy School, Western CUNA Management School or college courses directly related to collection or lending career.
Contact Kari Olson for applications and qualifications.
Conference Scholarships are available to member credit union collectors to provide an opportunity to attend conference when they may not be able to otherwise. Please note that priority may be given to first time attendees and available on a first come first serve basis.
To request a scholarship, complete our Conference Scholarship Request Form.
Applications will be accepted beginning February 1st until filled. NWCUCAs aspires to provide scholarships to first time attendees who would otherwise be unable to attend our educational conference. **Scholarships have been filled!***
PLEASE NOTE: We begin reviewing conference scholarships in February of each year. If you submit an application prior to February, please expect a response after the application review process commences.
